Frequently Asked Questions
In the field, on properties, and at job sites, operation managers can reduce delays and project slippage.
What changes when I use Sig2?
Your existing systems do not change—only how smoothly your team receives instructions in the field. Sig2 doesn't replace what you're already using; it enhances it by delivering updates and reminders when it is most useful for your crews—not a new platform to manage, just clearer execution from day one.
You set Sig2 Smart Reminders in just minutes—seamlessly with your current workflow. The Activity feed shows you at a glance who is reminded. You’ll spend less time repeating yourself, following up, or fixing preventable issues. The result? More consistent field performance with less friction in your day.
Why are Smart Reminders better?
Sig2 Smart Reminders are for timing, clarity, and bottom-line impact. They eliminate the lag between giving instructions and when they’re actually followed. Unlike phone calls or texts that can be missed, delayed, or misunderstood, Sig2 delivers audio messages automatically when it is relevant—so the right task is top of mind at the right moment.
Location-based message delivery prevents common delays that translates into real savings when crews get to work faster, make fewer mistakes, and stay aligned without constant follow-up and downtime—saving your business the hidden expense of project slippage.
How is Sig2 cost-effective?
Sig2 is cost-effective because it helps reduce the everyday inefficiencies that even the best-run operations deal with—delayed starts, repeated instructions, and missed updates. By delivering timely, location-based audio reminders, it keeps teams aligned without adding extra work to your plate.
We know every tool is an investment. With Sig2 the returns come from reducing the kind of delays that quietly eat into your profit margins. Sig2 helps teams execute efficiently, so you're spending less time troubleshooting and more time keeping projects on track.
How does Sig2 fit into workflows?
Sig2 is designed to fit into your current workflows without adding to your workload or your overhead. There’s nothing new to manage day-to-day—just a layer that delivers the right message at the right place and time, running in the background. Once a Smart Reminder is set, it works automatically without disruption to your routine.
You set the reminders once, and Sig2 triggers audio updates and reminders when crews enter or leave specific locations. It supports the work you’re already doing by reducing the need for follow-up calls, repeated directions, or correcting missed steps. It’s one small adjustment that can remove a lot of daily friction.
Do Sig2 Smart Reminders expire?
The end date you set is when a message expires. An expired message can also be made active again. Smart Reminders can be re-used—No need to do the same work twice. Message Settings make it possible for Smart Reminders to be active in the field without a duration limit—useful for reminding safety procedures.
Sig2 Smart Reminders that do not have expiration dates are like information beacons—always available regardless of day or time. These are ideal for access to properties and campuses where information remains constant. No need to repeat, just verify who’s been informed.
How safe is Sig2 when driving?
Sig2 was designed with safety-first in mind. While driving, Receivers do not need to look at their mobile device. When a Sig2 Smart Reminder is triggered to play, the driver is alerted there’s a new message. If multiple messages are queued, the mobile app indicates there’s a next message, as well as when the reception is ended.
If Receivers choose to place their phone in a mount within reach—just one tap allows them to pause and resume message play if they think it’s necessary.
Can receivers miss a reminder?
Receivers are responsible for having their phones on, the volume at audible level, and the mobile app granted its notification, location, and background permissions. With this setup, field tests have proven successful at legal driving speeds.
Sig2 delivers Smart Reminders even when the driver is playing music or listening to an audiobook, or podcast from their mobile device. A location-based message will play if the driver happens to be on a phone call, the same way a map direction would play based on location.
Receivers can also refer back to past Smart Reminders by reading them from the Message List. Messages have their reference to a location and who they are assigned to, making it easy to capture information even after passing through the location.
No service - What happens?
Sig2 is designed for delivering updates and reminders even where there is poor cellular coverage or no service at all. The delivery of Sig2 Smart Reminder relies on the GPS function of the mobile device. This is not dependent on a cellular connection. The prerequisite is for the Receiver to have a connection at the time a message is set.
The Operator can review message delivery status in the console’s Activity feed to confirm whether a message has been transmitted to a mobile device and whether it has been heard. This status update requires service reception for the phone to send back its status.
Are Sig2 Smart Reminders secure?
Sig2 is a utility that establishes a channel of communication between the Operator and the contacts invited into the system. When contacts authenticate their phone number, they become Receivers.
After opting in to receive Smart Reminders to the Sig2 mobile app, Receivers only hear the messages that are assigned to them. A person who has not been invited by the Operator and not assigned to receive a Smart Reminder, cannot receive a message—only when invited and authenticated.
Are Receivers' trips private?
Sig2 prioritizes data privacy and complies with GDPR and CCPA standards. Location data is only used to trigger message play — The receivers’ location data is not tracked or stored beyond delivery confirmation.
The Sig2 system only reports that a Receiver has heard a message; is pending to hear a message; or that the message was not yet transmitted to the mobile device. The Sig2 system does not track the whereabouts of Receivers in between geofenced areas.
